Village Bikes :5Village Bikes : Village Bike is a local initiative posed as a realistic alternative to the failed? an expensive Brisbane City cycle scheme. The first phase of Village bike is a Pilot Study at Palm Beach called Café Racer. Ultimately the aim is to expand the Village Bike scheme throughout the Gold Coast. By 2018 a series of recycled Village Bike hubs will exist on the Gold Coast, providing free for all transport.

Village Bikes are intended to reflect the Gold Coast casual culture and be simple, cool and recycled. They are built for comfort, not for speed. The revolution will not be televised.

You will not have to wear lycra, bike shorts or flouro. The revolution will put you in the drivers seat
