Thinking about cycling? Be inspired By Erin Kinnealy in WA…this is why I love our Cycling Community…it gives us – us…Cheers Steve

Erin’s Story via WestCycle in WA…WestCycle is the peak industry body for cycling in Western Australia representing all disciplines as well as being the voice for all WA cyclists….

WestCycle Story -ErinErin Kinnealy (second person on the right) is an inspiration to all. Only 2 years ago Erin started cycling, only 6 months after starting she started racing and has now raced 12 months in the National Road Series. She states that cycling ticks all the boxes for her; you never stop learning, its tactical, challenging and something brutal but always rewarding!

You may recognise Erin from recently completing the Tour of Margaret River. Erin said that she had a fantastic time! Erin came 4th overall and 3rd in MWA21, and her team finished 2nd overall.

Erin’s advice for people that are thinking about cycling is to “Find a local club by checking the CycleSport WA website which will locate the closest one to you. Your local club will teach group riding etiquette and other details you need to know about racing. It’s a good idea to head along to a race event and have a look at what goes on. Then it’s all about dipping your toes in, you never know unless you have a crack!”

Erin also says to really hone your skills, have a look at www.womencycling.com.au website and head along to their training sessions. This initiative is designed for and by women cyclist and will help you achieve your goals, whatever that might be!
